Let me share a little more about my passions.
Here is a simple way to understand my complex life.
I am passionate about Christian education.
The truth sets people free and the Word of God is true.
Believers need to continually have their minds renewed.
The Bible has a wide range of essential teachings.
These essential teachings have already been discovered and understood.
Curriculums have been designed for children, adults, leaders, missionaries, etc.
The challenge is to make these lessons appealing, accessible and affordable.
Links can send seekers to the key webs sites and to buy the better books.
Sooner than later I hope that the seminary students will be teaching over the web.
I am passionate about missions.
Biblical Christianity is much more than just head knowledge.
We are to be doers of the word.
The LORD Jesus Christ gave commandments to be obeyed.
We have a Great Commission to direct us to make disciples of all nations.
Five arenas of missions are Family, Spheres of Influence, Church, City and World.
Five kinds of missions includes Benevolence, Evangelism, Discipleship, Church planting & Church Growth and Leadership Development.
Americans have been given much and much is required of them.
I am passionate about media.
The biblical mandates for missions are impossible apart from God.
We need much humility, prayer, commitment, perseverance and faithfulness.
We find ourselves in a society that is moving and changing rapidly.
Communication technology gives us better products and services.
As good stewards we are to use these tools for the kingdom of God.
Fields like business, education, entertainment and shopping use these tools.
The Body of Christ needs to harness this technology for the glory of God.
I especially care when two of these come together.
I care to the max when the three come together.
For me international students are very much like missionaries.
They are going to the least reached to take God’s love and truth.
Educating missionaries about fund raising is attractive.
Education meets missionaries over the media of the web.
For me church planters are just a particular kind of missionary.
Meeting with missionaries and church planters last week was a delight.
To give them literature was missions and media intersecting.
Missionaries, international students and church planters can increase their support base.
They can gain more prayer support and funds over a web site.
Thus missions and media have come together,
Those in the padded pews need to learn about what God is doing on the field.
They need to become informed and invited to pray.
Picking up their used things can make them a part of the Great Commission.
Thus media and missions intersect plus some education.
Suburban Christians are the sleeping giants that can be woken with sound teaching.
It is not a matter of motivating with guilt or hype.
Good biblical teaching will lead to right godly actions.
Due to the indwelling Holy Sprit believers want to express agape love.
The web can instruct them and point to opportunities.
Thus media intersects Christian education.
